Lately I’ve been really excited about polka dots. I’ve experimented here and there with some neutral polka dots (my shower curtain is a modern medley of blue, gray, and black polka dots) but recently I’ve been attracted to a brighter version of this playful pattern. February has me seeing pink and red everywhere, which led me to my latest obsession: red and white polka dots!

This room shows off a bright accent wall with large white polka dots against a dark pink background, cute for a young girl’s room. This is a little out of my league, personally, but it still looks pretty impressive!
More my style, though, would be a few smaller items scattered around the home. Here are a few things (by room) that would look great with a polka dot pattern:
Living Room: Throw pillows, picture frames, small side table, or the backing of a bookshelf
Kitchen: Dishware, hand towels, oven mitts
Bathroom: Shower curtain (like mine!), towels, bath mats
