Your baby is one-of-a-kind, shouldn’t your nursery be, too? Bring a personal touch to your baby’s nursery decor by making one of these DIY mobiles yourself. Each one has a different style (and ways to customize for your nursery) so we’re sure you’ll find one that fits the theme of your nursery. Take a look:
Give your nursery a fun and funky feel with this DIY retro baby mobile from Chic Spaces for Little Faces. You’ll need quite a few materials to create this mobile (like craft paint, dowel rod, scrapbook paper, and fishing line) but it’ll be worth it! This colorful mobile is sure to capture baby’s attention and add a burst of fun color of your choice to the room.
We love this cute bird and branches mobile from Spool. You’ll have to sew the little birds, but Spool has a pdf of the pattern you can download. The best part of this project is that you can use as many different patterned fabrics as you like in any colors you want. The branches are a nice touch, too!
This is the perfect mobile for your little princess! For this project from God Bless Our Nest you’ll need a wire wreath frame, chandelier crystals, fishing line, fabric, sheet rock anchor with screw, some spray paint, and a lot of patience (Ashley from GBON admits it can be a bit stressful). The end result is beautiful, though, and she says she doesn’t regret taking on the project!
If you’re having a boy, this vintage airplane mobile from Dream Book Design is a really unique way to decorate the nursery. It may be a little difficult finding vintage planes like the ones used in this tutorial, but if you can find them you’ll have a very special mobile hanging over your special little one’s crib.
Give your nursery a fun spring/summer feel with this pom pom mobile from First Time Fancy. For this colorful project you’ll need a few standard craft items like styrofoam balls, fabric, glue gun, embroidery hoop, and fishing wire. This mobile easily fits into any nursery’s color scheme (just use the same colors you use everywhere else in the room for the fabric!)
