Getting Started

Pure Home is the place where it all begins. Here you can create the perfect color palette for your entire home whether it’s the dining room, bathroom, or kitchen. You are the designer, and we have the tools you need to create the home of your dreams. Take our Color Quiz to help determine the colors that fit your style, mood, and personality. Here’s how the process works:

Choose Your Style

After you choose the rooms you’d like to design, pick up to three styles that best fit the look you’re going for. You might want to see how your bedroom would look in Shabby Chic, Modern, and Coastal styles, or maybe you’d like to see a Traditional, South Beach, and Pacific Northwest kitchen. When you’re finished with the quiz, you’ll get to see how your colors look in the three styles you chose!
Choose Your Moods & Determine Your Color Personality

How do you want your room to feel? Read through the descriptive words we suggest and pick up to five that best suit the atmosphere you would like to create in your home. Would you like a refreshing and energizing exercise room? A soft and soothing bedroom? It’s up to you!


After you’ve chosen your room, styles, and moods it’s time to figure out what your distinct color personality is! Do you like bright, vivid colors or do you prefer soft, muted pastels? We’ll show you six sets of photos, each set will have three images to choose from. Just pick the image you are drawn to most. Don’t over-think it—this is to test your gut instinct and reaction to color!



Once you’ve finished determining your color personality we’ll show you all the colors that match the choices you have made. Now it’s time to play! Drag the colors you like into the palette. The colors available will automatically adjust as you make your choices so that you’ll only see the colors that are sure to go together beautifully.

Create & Explore Design Studios

Once you’ve created a color palette you love, you can save it to a studio and start designing! We’ll suggest products that match the style and colors you chose so you can create a space that looks cohesive and gorgeous. You can also bring anything you like from other websites and save them to your studios using our For My Home button.

You can organize your design studios by color, style, and room type. For example, you could have one studio called “Shabby Chic Home” and have a few pages within it that show a living room, bathroom, and kitchen all in Shabby Chic style. Need a little inspiration? You can also check out other people’s studios to get ideas.
