Pantone’s Silver Peony! I am a huge fan of HGTV‘s Color of the Month program, and as you can imagine I was anticipating the color they would choose for January. While I’m exited to see that they didn’t pick something obvious like any direct “color of the year” from all the trend reports, I was a little upset they went with a pink colorway. Everyone is thinking pink for 2011! I guess you could argue this isn’t a pink color per se and could pass for more of a neutral rose beige with a gray undertone. But that’s getting really technical!
I’m really interested to see how brands flood the market with various shades of pink this year. In my opinion, the color pink can quickly take a turn for the worse – especially in home decor!
